At Fountain Hills Heating & Air Conditioning, we are proud to be an Amana dealer because their quality products are made in the U.S.A. In a time where other companies are closing their American manufacturing warehouses, Amana continues to be distributed out of Texas and Tennessee.

According to the Consumer Reports National Research Center, given a choice between two identical products, 78 percent of Americans would purchase the product made in America. Why? Eighty percent of those said they wanted to support American manufacturing.

Made in the U.S.A.: The Difference Between Skilled Labor and Cheap Labor

Is it true that cheap labor isn’t skilled and skilled labor isn’t cheap? Well, that depends on each consumer’s perspective—this may or may not be true. Each of us has likely owned a product that we would have referred to as “cheap”—the little red wagon that lost a wheel, or that $19 DVD player that was picked up during Black Friday that promptly stopped working before Christmas.

“Many of the time that we have experienced a product that we called ‘cheap’ we have found that little sticker on the back that read ‘Made in ___’, not in the United States,” says John Hardin, owner of Fountain Hills Heating & Air Conditioning. “Besides the frustration of realizing that the product didn’t fulfill our expectation, our consumer dollars went to some other country and not to support American jobs.

“This is one of the many reasons why we are proud to have been selected to partner with Amana, who manufactures here in the United States of America,” he says.

Amana was started during the Great Depression, then was awarded the Army-Navy “E” Award for Excellence for supplying the military with walk-in coolers. Amana later developed the first portable counter-top microwave oven and now a top-quality line of heating and cooling products to keep your family comfortable in your home.
